Woodlands Primary

Innovation Pod will be continuing its award-winning Coding club at Woodlands Primary School in September 2024.  Read about our curriculum and find full details about the clubs below.

Years 1-6

Children in our clubs will be studying our exhilarating Coding in Space and Coding with Animals.  Our new, exciting ’Coding in Space’ module takes place on various websites where children continue to learn the fundamentals of coding in a space-themed environment. Pupils will complete space missions involving stars and rockets using various coding skills such as loops, events and conditionals. In our fun Animal Coding module, children learn coding in an engaging and rewarding environment that utilises gaming elements to teach programming concepts. Some of the activities also teach text-based coding so children learn to program like a real developer.

Details & FAQs

Dates and times:
Clubs take place straight after school until 4:30pm

Years 1-6:  Wednesdays
From 18th September - 11th December

Pick-up and drop off:
Children are collected from their classroom and taken straight to their club.  At the end of the session, children will be either picked up by a guardian from the front entrance or taken to another provision at the school.

Snack:
As our club is straight after school, parents can pack a healthy snack in accordance with the school's food policies.  

Price:
£7.00 (plus VAT) per session.  Payment for the full 7 weeks is taken as a one-off Direct Debit of £49

This is NOT a recurring payment and you will NOT be entered into a subscription.
