Twin Oaks

Innovation Pod will be running its award-winning Coding club at Twin Oaks Primary School in September 2023.  Read about our curriculum and find full details about the clubs below.

Years 3-6

Children in KS2 will be studying our thrilling Code Combat and Web Development modules. In Code Combat, pupils will need to type lines of Python to complete a series of exciting programming games. They will solve puzzles and learn the basics of this important coding language, including: syntax, arguments, strings, loops, variables, and algorithms. This Introduction to Web Development module uses the free online coding platform Trinket to teach children beginner skills in the two of the main coding languages for webpage creation - HTML and CSS. Children  learn how to structure and style webpages with images, lists, fonts, quotes, links, and animation and in the process, make interactive webpages with art, emojis and flip cards.

Dates and times:
Clubs take place straight after school until 4:30pm

Years 3-6: Friday
From 22nd September - 15th December

Pick-up and drop off:
Children are collected from their classroom and taken straight to their club.  At the end of the session, children will be either picked up by a guardian from the front entrance or taken to another provision at the school.

Snack: 
As our club is straight after school, parents can pack a healthy snack in accordance with the school's food policies.  

Price:
£6.60 per session.  Payment for the full 11 weeks is taken as a one-off Direct Debit of £72.60. 

This is NOT a recurring payment and you will NOT be entered into a subscription.
