Ditton Park

Innovation Pod will be running its award-winning Coding clubs at Ditton Park Academy in January 2024.  Read about our curriculum and find full details about the clubs below.

Years 7 - 8

Children in KS2 will be studying our thrilling Scratch Arcade and Web Development modules.  In our popular ‘Scratch Arcade’ module, children create retro arcade games which they share with children across the world.  They consider design aspects and playability as well as solving difficult algorithms. This Introduction to Web Development module uses the free online coding platform Trinket to teach children beginner skills in the two of the main coding languages for webpage creation - HTML and CSS. Children  learn how to structure and style webpages with images, lists, fonts, quotes, links, and animation and in the process, make interactive webpages with art, emojis and flip cards.

Dates and times:
Clubs take place straight after school until 4:10pm.

Years 7&8: Monday
From 15th January - 25th March

Pick-up and drop off:
Children will make their own way to the classroom.  At the end of the session, children will be either picked up by a guardian from the front entrance or will be walking home alone.

Snack: 
As our club is straight after school, parents can pack a healthy snack in accordance with the school's food policies.  

Price:
£7 (inc. VAT) per session.  Payment for the full 10 weeks is taken as a one-off Direct Debit of £70. 

This is NOT a recurring payment and you will NOT be entered into a subscription.
