Years 1 - 2
Children in Key Stage One will take part in two thrilling modules, 'Edison Robot' and 'Scratch Jr'. ‘Edison’ is an award-winning robot which our pupils program to respond to sound and light, follow a map and wrestle other robots. It’s a thrilling module in physical computing which the children love! In ‘Scratch Jr.’ children build video games on a multi-award-winning coding platform. They gain a huge sense of achievement as they create games which their friends and family can play.

Years 3-6
Children in Key Stage Two will attempt to exhilarating modules, 'Meet Edison' and 'Scratch Arcade'. In our popular ‘Scratch Arcade’ module, children create retro arcade games which they share with children across the world. They consider design aspects and playability as well as solving difficult algorithms. In ‘Meet Edison’, children will pit their skills against the award-winning, Lego-compatible, Edison robot to complete a series of exciting challenges by activating the robots' variety of sensors.

Mad Science Years 1 - 6
Children in all year groups will take part in our Electricity module. Through numerous hands-on activities, children will explore static & basic current electricity concepts such as voltage and resistance. They will build a charge detector, simple conductivity testers, build and experiment with simple circuits, and design & build their own series circuit flashlight. Another fun module they'll participate in is Constructional Engineering which is a design-and-build module where children work in pairs and groups to complete a series of challenges with limited resources. Pupils develop skills in critical thinking, evaluation, and reflective thinking.
